Summer is well and truly on its way and now is the best time to think about getting the most out of your garden. This time of the year is superb for shopping around for new garden furniture and you may be able to grab some great bargains in comparison to waiting until summer is upon us.

Picture this. You come home from work on a hot August evening. You are tired, stressed, and so have earned yourself a well-deserved break. The evening is still warm, so what could be better than going outside and relaxing in the garden with a cool drink? Wouldnt it be nice if you had some lovely furniture out there so you could relax and take the weight off your feet and forget about your troubles? There are numerous types of furniture for the garden, and here are some ideas that you could take with you when you go shopping for some.

Tables and chairs are excellent, whether you plan on eating outside or just want to sit and relax after work. There are many styles and types to choose from. Glass topped tables and chairs are one of the cheapest ranges to consider, and round ones are superb if you have children. The glass is generally toughened and there are no sharp edges or corners for children to hurt themselves on. Then there is the wooden range of garden furniture, which will make a statement in any garden. From the full out wooden dining tables that hold up to six, with matching chairs and parasol to the garden bench, there is something to suit the needs of everyone.

Of course, there is much more out there than tables and chairs. You could fancy relaxing in a hammock. Again there are different choices. There is the traditional hammock type with the cloth you lay in. However, you dont have to string the hammock from tree to tree as nowadays they come with metal frames at either end. There is also the garden hammock, which is typically a swinging seat that attaches to a metal frame and is covered with a canopy. These are usually available in different sizes, from two-seater up to four or more.

When considering furniture for your garden you might also wish to give some thought to your patio. Rather than have plain flags on the floor, why not consider decking? Decking is a superb way to show off your flagged area at the back of your home to its best advantage. Decking comes in flat packs and you can even order it online. Here at Wickes, we have a large range of decking and decking components to help you get the most out of your garden. Shop now for your decking and you could make some big savings compared to leaving it until the summer is upon us. Some good quality slow grown timber decking, panels, posts and balustrades and you have a wonderful area to fill with brand new garden furniture.
